Welcome! This page is the quick reference for enrolled families — expectations, key dates, and policy highlights. A full policy document and welcome email are sent after registration.

Studio Expectations

Building great musicianship is a team effort between teacher, student, and parents! Students receive a printed information sheet for their binder covering the day-to-day details.

For Students

Practice at least 4 days a week.
Take out your practice sheet every day and make your own check marks.
Arrive ready: clean hands, trimmed nails, binder, and all your books.
Be on time. Lessons begin and end on schedule.
Come prepared to try your best, even when a piece gets hard.

For Parents

Support a practice routine at home. Younger students often need guidance through the whole session.
Sign the practice sheet before each lesson.
Send a quick message if you are running late or need to cancel.
Reach out any time — practice shouldn’t be a battle, and I’m glad to help. Questions are welcome during or after any lesson.

Policy Highlights

Here are a few important things to know. The full studio policy is shared after registration and available anytime by request.

💳 Payment
Tuition is due on the 1st of each month (September–June). Invoices are sent automatically a few days in advance.
📚 Books
Book charges are billed separately and due within 14 days of receipt.
❌ Missed Lessons
No make-up lessons are offered for missed or cancelled lessons. Your lesson time is reserved just for you.
🕒 Late Arrivals
Lessons end at the scheduled time. If a student is more than 10 minutes late, the lesson may be cancelled.
📅 Withdrawals
If you need to discontinue lessons mid-year, one month’s notice is required. A cancellation fee equal to one month’s tuition will apply.
📸 Photo & Video
I occasionally share photos or short videos on social media. You’ll receive a release form at registration, and participation is optional.

Nov 17–20 — Studio Break (No Lessons Tues–Fri)

Dec 21–Jan 1 — Christmas Break (Back Jan 4)

Feb 15 — Family Day (No Lessons)

Mar 15–19 — March Break (No Lessons)

Mar 26 / 29 — Good Friday / Easter Monday (No Lessons)

May 24 — Victoria Day (No Lessons)

June 7–11 — Open House Week (During Regular Lesson Time)

Sat, June 12 — End-of-Year Group Lesson
